東ティモールでアレックスという青年に出会ったとき、彼は子どもたちの歌の輪の中で、ギターを弾いて歌っていました。
彼のシンプルで優しいメロディに、私たちはすっかり魅せられたのでした。
同行していたSADAMら日本のミュージシャンは帰国後、彼の歌を歌い始め、やがて日本の小学校などでも合唱されるようになりました。
東ティモール独立式典コンサートに日本から唯一出演した「ソウル・フラワー・ユニオン」もその曲をアレンジしてうたい始めました。
それら音源をアレックスと子どもたちに届けたら、アレックスはとても嬉しそうにしてくれました。
そんなこんなで交流は続き、いまはアレックスとSADAMと環音とソウルフラワーほかいろんな方の協力で、音楽ドキュメンタリー映画制作が進行中です。
映画発表に先がけて、アレックスとの共同作品 SADAM「HANOIN TIMOR」を今年７月にリリースしました。
そこで今日は、大阪「ハードレイン」でソウルフラワーユニオンのギター河村博司さんの新ユニット「ウチウ」率いるライブをします。
彼らとゆかりのある素敵な唄者「NUU」、SADAM、シークレットゲストが出演します。
アレックスは来日出来ませんでしたが、アレックスの曲はSADAM＆広田奈津子で、心こめまして歌います。
